In March 2024, ultrarunner Justin Montague completed the 1,374 km MTC JOGLE in a single pair of Mount to Coast R1s, breaking every individual stage record and finishing almost 40 hours ahead of the previous overall record.
In 2025, Meg Eckert broke the women's six-day world record in the R1, covering 971 km. Less than a month later, Matthieu Bonne broke the 29-year-old 48-hour world record, covering 485 km.
These achievements became part of Mount to Coast's early story - putting its approach to long-distance footwear to the test at distances far beyond the everyday.
